Director's Notes
This play is a study of seven men, six gunners and a lance-bombardier, trapped in a futile position which drives the wildest of them to increasingly extreme insubordination.

Set in a British Army Camp in Germany in a bitterly cold winter of 1953. The gun they guard is obsolete. The woeful events of the play are unfolded with biting irony.
