A childs' doll, unwelcome guests and a precocious child all contribute greatly to this gripping drama, written by the author of "Dial M for Murder". In a play of this nature it can be so easy to give too much of the plot away when writing synopses, and therefore, I do not intend to try. All I would say is that at the story's dramatic conclusion, for one person anyway the dark is light enough.
