Overview:
Join us for our fun Christmas show, which has all the features of a traditional panto – a must see for all the family, young and old!
The Grinch, a bitter and twisted geezer with a green face (who makes Scrooge look like the Fairy Godmother) is determined to ruin Christmas for the residents of Whoville. After years of being treated badly because of the way he looks, The Grinch goes about getting his revenge with his mischievous side kick, Colin. Things won’t be easy though, there are plenty of people who will do their best to stop him including Santa, the Snow Queen and Aunty Nora. With visits from the Chucklemeisters, Imps and Elves, get set for a truly wicked time!

Lots of parts available – a part for everyone – so come to the audition! Actors, singers and dancers required – all levels of ability/experience.
Main characters are:-
The Grinch – male – one of several principal characters. Needs to be revengeful, shifty, sneaky, bitter and grumpy but also needs to be lovable and needs to get the audience feeling sorry for him at the end.Can perform magic. An experienced character actor preferably. Will be sprayed/painted green. Needs to be able to work the audience - interact with the audience and encourage participation.One song but singspiel (talking to the rhythm) OK. Playing range 40 - 50
Spirit – female – opens the play, introduces the action and appears a few times (at ‘that’ right moment) throughout the play. Needs to be likable, wise, magical and enchanting ... the sort of character the audience would like as their grandmother. Carries a magic wand and helps the action along. Small part. No solo singing but preferably willing to take part in some chorus songs. Playing range 60 +
Important Notes:
A fun but disciplined approach required. Main characters must be able to encourage audience participation / improvise (this will be strictly rehearsed).
