Very sad to hear the news about Peter Bolger. Many happy memories of the plays and pantos we were involved in together, both here and at Hyde. Shared many a laugh and a few pints together over the years. RIP Peter. My condoleces to his wife and family

Wow, the site is so much better. I am a stranger but thankful that I met the theatre over 26 years ago. I was 15 and asked to work the Strand lighting desk on Calamity Jane whilst also parlaying the part of an Indian ( the irony is still a story I dine out with). I have continued a life in theatre, television, film, live event production and run my own production company. Hope to see the theatre soon. Keep up the good work.

Hi, I played the part of roderick the evil prince back in the panto of '84 or may have been '85. The play was called The witch and the Wiffler I was only about 15 at the time but had a great time. Thing is my daughter is now interested in acting, is there a group she could join?? I have explained there is a lot of work to be done behind the scenes and that is where you normally start. Any help or info would be appreciated. Thanks.

I joined GBT in Sept 1972 as a member of the youth group run by the late, great Connie Smith and appeared in The panto of that year. I've since joined various theatre companies and acted in lots of different productions over the last 38 years. I am now back at GBT appearing in the classic drama The Heiress and it feels like i have never really left, everyone is so welcoming and lovely. A lot of the members have sadly passed on or left since my last membership but their spirits live on within the walls of the theatre. I look forward to hopefully being part of future productions, either be it on or off the stage.

I didn't think anything could be better than the Graduate but I was wrong. The production of Hobson's Choice, which I saw last Thursday, was wonderful. The cast were all outstanding but particular mention should go to Peter Bolger and Darren Wilson. They were both as good as any professional I have ever seen. Congratulations should go to all who were involved in the production. The only problem for GBT is where do you go from here!!!
