Eyes for Consuela

by Sam Shepard, directed by Will Osmond

‘Love needs a sacrifice ... without this sacrifice, there is no love’

Monday 14th - Saturday 19th May 2012, at 7:45pm

Henry is a lost soul from the American middle-class. Middle aged, unmoored and alone in a squalid, vine-shrouded "hotel" amid snakes, lizards and ghosts. He has left the woman he loves many miles away. One night, on a walk through the underbrush, he is set upon by a peasant bearing a machete and a slender knife, which he will use to cut the eyes from Henry's head and give them as a present to his girlfriend, Consuela. Henry’s sanity is pushed to its limits. Both men examine what has taken them from the women they love and what desperate sacrificial price might reunite them with their women. A thrilling drama that will have you on the edge of your seat!
