The action opens in Mushnik’s struggling flower shop on Skid Row, where we meet the timid Seymour, the sweet but troubled Audrey, and their irritable boss, Mr. Mushnik. Business is bleak—until Seymour unveils a mysterious, exotic plant he’s been cultivating. Dubbed Audrey II, the strange plant begins to attract attention, fame, and fortune.
But as Audrey II grows, so does its appetite... and its influence. With a lively Greek chorus of streetwise singers guiding us through the action, Little Shop of Horrors spirals from quirky charm into something far darker—and far funnier—than anyone could expect.
